Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection for OPI

I don’t know how many of you out there are fans of Minnie Mouse, but I’ll be the first one to say I was when I was younger and I still am today. I even was Minnie Mouse (yes, a more risqué version) for Halloween last year. Something about her girly personality always made me love her, so when I found out OPI was coming out with a collection in June dedicated to her, my heart started to glow. :)

The collection consists of four colors, which are all in the color scheme of pinks and reds.

If You Moust You Moust is one of those true Barbie pink colors. It’s not too dark and it’s not too light. It’s right in the middle. Surprisingly I don’t have a color like this in my collection since I decided to pass up Pink Friday that came out in the Nicki Minaj Collection, so I might have to pick this one up.
If You Moust You Moust

I'm All Ears is a hot pink jelly color with sparkles. From the swatches I have looked at, the color looks absolutely gorgeous, but I’m not sure if I’m a fan of jellies. I know I don’t have anything in my collection like this either, so I might end up giving this a try.

I'm All Ears

The Color of Minnie is a pinky-red, which I also like a lot. This one reminds me the most of Minnie, not just because of the name, but the color looks like the color of Minnie’s dress.

Lastly is Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It. This is a light pink glittery topcoat that contains hearts in it. With me, glitter polishes can go either way. Sometimes I love them, other times I hate them. I love the look this one gives on top of the other colors in the collection, but the hassle I know it will take for it to come off bothers me.
Nothin' Mousie 'Bout It

I hate to say that I love the whole collection, but I really do. As far as the color that I think is the most unique, I think I’m All Ears is the one that takes the cake!

Do you love Minnie Mouse? Are you going to buy any from the collection? And if so, which one?

Shopping Wishlist: Tory Burch

I don’t know when Tory Burch become popular, but I know my best friend introduced me to the brand this year. Since then I have actually seen so many girls around campus sporting shoes and cute cross-bodies by Tory Burch. I don’t know what it is about her products, but whenever I spot a girl with Tory Burch, I immediately think cute and classy.

I’m not looking to get anything over the top like a handbag, but on my shopping wishlist I would really love to get some Tory Burch black flats or a Tory Burch wallet. I know both items are a really big splurge, but I wouldn’t mind treating myself soon for my birthday for either one of them if I save my money.
Amanda Double Snap Wallet

I justify buying either one of them because, hello, who doesn’t need a good pair of black flats? I know I have gone through a couple of pairs and the pair that I currently have are literally falling apart at the soles. I have never been a big shoe person and it shows in the lack of quality in most of the shoes that I own. With the Tory Burch flats I know that they will be good quality and they’re something that I can always use. I can dress them up with a nice going-out dress, or I can dress it down by wearing a top and some shorts.
Classic Reva Ballet Flat

As for the wallet I know its something that I will literally use everyday. Like shoes, I have been through numerous wallets and It would be nice to have a nice quality wallet to put my essentials in and be sturdy enough to use daily.
Amanda Zip Continental Wallet

I’m still torn as to which one I would actually buy, so hopefully with time I can decide which one I will hopefully be able to spend the big bucks on.

Are you a fan of Tory Burch? Which item would you choose to buy?

Product Rave: Hairfinity

I have always had shorter hair. After my second semester of my freshman year in college, something crazy came over me and I decided to cut my hair shorter than what it already was in an inverted bob. I know we have all had our bad haircut experiences and this was mine. Although the style was pretty and my hair looked a lot healthier, it made me never want to cut my hair again.

About a year ago while watching Youtube videos, like I always do, I stumbled upon a product review on Hairfinity. When watching the review I was amazed at the girl’s results and I became obsessed. I continued watching more and more product reviews on the product, and I eventually begged my mom to order the vitamins.
I’ll admit I can be somewhat of a product junkie. Once I watch Youtube and see a product that I want to try, I will sometimes buy on impulse. This is one product that I have bought because of Youtube and I have NO regrets whatsoever. I can honestly say it is the best thing I have found because of Youtube.

Reasons why I love it:
1.     Hairfinity actually works. When I saw that it worked on African American hair, I was sold. This product doesn’t only work on specific hair types, it works for anyone and that’s why I love it.
2.     It works faster than any other vitamin that I have taken. I used to use GNC hair, skin and nails vitamins that I didn’t see progress in using. Hairfinity works fast and I also see a difference in the health of my hair.
3.     It’s a multivitamin. Who doesn’t like a good multivitamin? They are good and good for you. They make me feel healthier whenever I take them.

I have been taking this vitamin off and on for about a year now and I can see that it has done tremendous things for my hair. The only con that I have about this product is that I can get quite expensive. At $27 for a bottle, I try to buy 2 at a time as well as use a 10% off promotional code to make it more affordable.

If you’re like me and are trying to grow your hair out from a regretful short haircut or whatever your case may be, I would seriously look into these vitamins here.

If you have any questions specifically about this product, shoot me a comment and I will be more than happy to help.

Have you heard of Hairfinity before?

Spring Fashion: Corals and Peaches

I wont lie to you; I am not the biggest fashion-forward person. Most of the time you can catch me in one of my sorority shirts and running shorts. I am a bigger makeup and nail polish fanatic, but I am trying to branch out more with fashion and build up my wardrobe. I feel like the whole package should be there, and lets be honest, when you look good you feel good.

My love for the corals and peaches this spring has grown out of control lately. I don’t know what it is about those colors, but they make me feel so pretty whenever I have them on. With the spring season at its rising peak, these colors look so fresh and I feel they can compliment any girl's skin tone.
Peach and tan dress at Lulus

I am in love with coral and peach dresses. My obsession with the colors came into full-blown swing when I saw 2 of my sorority sisters rock their peach dresses at meeting one night. Once I saw them I knew I needed this color in my spring wardrobe.

My favorite peach/coral piece that I now have in my closet is a dress that I picked up at Forever 21 for $15.80. This dress is so girly with its gorgeous ruffles on the collar. A nice dress to wear at meeting, on a date or to a nice dinner at that price is truly a steal. I loved pairing with my nude heels and my jeweled peach oval earrings both bought at Forever 21.

I’m looking forward to picking up more pieces in these two fabulous colors very soon.

Do you love the corals and peaches as much as I do? What is your favorite color to wear this spring?

Fashion Faves: The Impeccable Pig

This past year while not paying attention in one of my classes, I ended up finding this website through a girl who was browsing the Internet in front of me. Ever since then, I have not been able to resist their clothing and it is now easily one of my favorite stores to buy from along with Forever 21 and Francesca’s.

The Impeccable Pig is a local boutique that has a few stores spread across Texas. Even though I am pretty close to one here in Austin, I find myself always shopping online on their website instead because I feel like they have better deals.

Although I LOVE this store, you wont catch me ever paying the original price of their clothing. Their store can be extremely expensive, but what I love to do is shop their sale section. Prices drop extremely low to match my college budget and during certain occasions their sale items can drop all the way to 10 bucks!

I have been able to buy dresses and tops there for dirt-cheap opposed to their original prices. What I have learned from past experiences is to try to never buy something for the full price. At The Impeccable Pig I find the gorgeous and unique clothing for a price I am willing to pay, when it is on sale of course.
A picture of me dressing up in one of my Impeccable Pig tops that I got on sale.

Their clothing is so fresh and whenever I wear a piece from them, I always feel like a million dollars. One dress I am currently waiting to go on sale is the Lovely in Lacy dress. I am currently obsessed with everything lace, and this dress is perfect with the pairing of the light blue color and detailed accent of cream lace.

Another item I want to buy is a shrug currently on sale for $15. I feel like the girl in the picture wearing it pulls it off perfectly, and I would love to create this look using pieces that I already have.

If you love the look of their clothing from the pictures I have on here, be prepared to drool over some of their pieces on their website here. They also have an awesome blog that I like to stop by frequently to get updates on sales and promotions.

Would you buy something from The Impeccable Pig? What's your favorite place to shop?

Rave: Chanel Coco Mademoiselle

Can I just say I have been obsessed with the brand Chanel ever since I was a little thing dying to get a Cambon bag. Coco Chanel has been my idol for the longest time. The creator of the Little Black Dress? Hello, what a diva! Unfortunately, the only things I can really afford from Chanel are their beauty products.
The bag I attempted to save money for in high school. (It was a fail! haha)

One of their beauty products I am in love with is the perfume Coco Mademoiselle. This scent is absolutely amazing. Ever since I smelled it on one of my cousins, I knew I had to have it. Although I love it, Coco Mademoiselle probably isn’t a scent for everyone. I know I’m not the greatest at describing perfume scents, so I’m not going to even try. Instead I’ll give you the notes that are in the perfume.

Top Notes
Middle Notes
LitchiRoseItalian Jasmine
Base Notes

I don’t know what half of these notes smell like on their own, but the combined smell altogether is delicious! It is a stronger scent and I would consider more elderly. I think it’s the perfect perfume to wear during the evening. Every time I go downtown I love to spray some on my pulse points. One thing that I love about this perfume is that it literally lasts on me the whole night. It’s amazing!

Like I said before I’m not the greatest at describing scents, but I feel this is a scent that is too unique to describe regardless. What I do know is that everyone may not like this scent like I mentioned before, so I would suggest trying it out at a Chanel counter. All I can say is that I love this perfume. It is easily one of my favorites.

I’m on my last few sprits in the bottle and since I know the price for this perfume ranges and can get really expensive, I’ll probably ask for it for my birthday!

This perfume for me is literally the epitome of classiness!

As Coco Chanel put it, "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."

Have you every smelled Coco Mademoiselle? What’s your favorite perfume?

Rock and Republic Eyeshadows

Because I have an extreme addiction to Youtube and I am a big fan of Hautelook, I have found myself being very intrigued in ordering Rock & Republic eyeshadows. I saw a lot of beauty gurus talk about the shadows and how much they like the brand so I decided try the brand whenever I saw it on sale.

When I first saw the brand go on sale on Hautelook, I immediately bought. I have made two orders from Hautelook in order to build up my eye shadow collection, and have collected 4 eye shadows from R&R.

I have to say I love them. I am not a huge MAC eye shadow collector. (I only have two of them, Shale and Woodwinked.) With that being said I do think MAC eye shadows are awesome from the ones that I have, but I feel R&R shadows are just as good.

You all know I’m a fan of packaging and I love R&R’s packaging and logo. It looks so sheik and it also comes with a decent sized mirror. But besides the really cute packaging it comes with more product than MAC eyeshadows, which give you more bang for your buck if you’re shopping for them on Hautelook.

The four colors that I do have are listed below:
Fuel: a pretty yellow-gold shimmer
Ammo: a bronzed-brown shimmer
Envy: a deep neutral green shimmer
Privilege: a pinky color with gold shimmer

From left to right: Ammo, Envy, Privilege and Fuel

Swatches on hand in natural lighting

The product itself is extremely pigmented and the colors that I do have go on the eyelid smoothly. They last on me all day with a good eyeshadow primer, so I have no complaints! Two thumbs up for R&R!

If you have not signed up for Hautelook, I highly encourage you to do so! If you are a big makeup lover like myself they have many great deals for you to take advantage of. Brands like Urban Decay, Stila and of course Rock and Republic go on sale for such amazing prices.

Do you have a Hautelook account? Would you try R&R eye shadows?
