Nicki’s lipstick is a bright yellow-pink satin that retails for $14.50 and Ricky’s lip conditioner in clear retails for $15.00.
I am a huge fan of Nicki Minaj, but what I didn’t know is that HIV/AIDS has impacted her life. She had lost her uncle having an AIDS-related disease. Along with the lost of her uncle, she feels it is a huge message to spread to young women. Like Nicki, I completely agree with her. As a young woman, life is too precious to not protect yourself.
As for Ricky Martin, he will be the first Latino man chosen to be a spokesperson for the campaign. This has got to be a monumental moment for both celebrities.
Since 1994, MAC’s Aids funds have raised more than $235 million dollars in selling their lip products. 100 percent of the proceeds from buying a lippy go directly to supporting activities that gives awareness to HIV/AIDS. I don’t know about you, but buying a lipstick knowing that all of my money will go to an amazing cause sounds pretty darn good to me!
As MAC says on their website, “be bold, be beautiful, be safe.”
How excited are you about the promotion? Will you be buying any of the new lippies?
Love and desserts,
