Look for Less: The Two-Toned Riding Boots

Ever since the beginning of fall I have been on the search for the gorgeous two-toned boots Kourtney Kardashian had been strutting in. When I saw my cousin rocking a pair for Thanksgiving, I was sold that I needed some of these boots in my life. My cousin is definitely one of my fashion inspirations and she had told me she found hers online at Forever 21 for less than 40 dollars. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the ones she had, but I did find two pairs that I loved.

One pair I found was the Two-Tone Leather 'Tori' Side Zip Riding Boot made by Ciao Bella. Sadly, I waited too long to decide to get the boots because they were more than I wanted to spend (over 100 bucks). Luckily, with hardcore searching on Google, I was able to find some that I liked at Urban Outfitters. It was a waiting game trying to see if they would put my size in stock, but when they finally did I bought without hesitation.

I will say you need to order a size up from what you usually wear since they run on the small size, especially around the calves. I ended up having to return the size I originally purchased and reorder the next size up. Although I have to wait an extra week to see my boots again, I know it will be worth the wait.

When returning my first pair of boots at the store, the saleswoman told me that the boots are only 19 dollars in stores. Once I get my new pair of boots in the mail, I can go back to the store and get the difference of what I paid, which is 89 online. You simply can’t beat it! I know wintertime is coming to a close, but these boots are something I still can’t wait to wear!

Are you a fan of the two-toned riding boots?

Crown Brushes

So I broke down and finally ordered a brush set as a Christmas gift to myself recently. Although I’m a pretty simple girl, I felt I need more necessity brushes to be able to expand my skills in applying makeup.

For the longest I was dying to try the “Make Me Up” set of brushes that are produced by Sigma, but I could not find the courage to spend over 100 dollars on 12 brushes. Granted, I know those brushes are made with good quality, but with me trying to stick with my college budget, I simply can’t!

My alternative to this problem was Crown Brushes. I have heard many of mixed reviews on the certain brush set that I got, but I decided to try them out anyways. With them being less than 40 dollars, I went ahead and bought them.

I was like a kid on Christmas when they finally came in. The brush set I decided to buy was the 15 piece bronze set. The set came with a cute bronze reptile case and the brushes were beautiful with their black matte handles and shiny bronze ferrules.

Now I have heard plenty of bad reviews about the quality of the brushes, but honestly I like them. Maybe its because I don’t have a lot to compare them to, but I feel like I don’t need anything fancy and these are more than good enough for me. I think the brushes are soft and although I haven’t been able to use all of them yet, the ones I have used I am very pleased with them.

Of course there is the occasionally bleeding and shedding when I wash them, but they are holding up nicely right now!

With time I will be able to see how good they hold up and how much I continue to like them, but right now I’m a happy girl!
